When I made my last post while sitting at Catalyst, I was complaining about how old and outdated my laptop was. I bought a Chromebook something like 9 or 10 years ago, not long after I moved to Michigan. It hasn’t been able to install any updates in maybe two years. Basically, it was dead in the water. It’s still usable for some tasks, but nothing major. I decided to be brave and ask for some help. I made a post on instagram asking if folks were financially comfortable, if they’d be willing to toss me a few bucks. And a bunch of people did. So many that I was able to order a new computer, and I’m now using that to type this post!

I got a pretty little MacBook Neo from Costco. It shipped last week and arrived yesterday. I am so stoked to have a fully functional “big internet” machine to work from. And I am so so so grateful to everyone who was willing and able to help me out.
